Cancellation and refund conditions

At GuestHoster, we understand that plans can change. That is why we offer several cancellation policy options to suit your needs. Hosts choose the cancellation policy that applies to their property.

Cancellation Policy Types

Flexible Policy

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before check-in
  • Full refund if cancelled within the deadline
  • No refund if cancelled less than 24 hours before check-in

Moderate Policy

  • Free cancellation up to 5 days before check-in
  • 50% refund if cancelled between 5 days and 24 hours before check-in
  • No refund if cancelled less than 24 hours before check-in

Strict Policy

  • Free cancellation up to 14 days before check-in
  • 50% refund if cancelled between 14 and 7 days before check-in
  • No refund if cancelled less than 7 days before check-in

General Cancellation Conditions

Service Fees

GuestHoster service fees are non-refundable, unless the cancellation occurs within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in.

Exceptional Circumstances

In case of exceptional circumstances (natural disasters, serious medical emergencies, etc.), we review each situation on a case-by-case basis to find a fair solution.

Cancellation by the Host

If a host cancels a confirmed booking, the traveler receives a full refund (including service fees). The host may also be subject to penalties according to our terms of use.

Refund Timeframes

Refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days following the cancellation. The display time on your bank account may vary depending on your banking institution.

Booking Modification

Modifying a booking (dates, number of travelers) is considered a new booking. The old booking will be cancelled according to the applicable policy, and the new booking will be subject to availability and pricing.
